Who Needs an ACUP

All our Employees hold Agricultural Chemical User Permits endorsed for 1080

An Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) is a 10-year permit issued by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning(DELWP) to appropriately trained chemical users, which authorises the purchase of 'restricted supply' chemicals and use of 'restricted use' chemicals (i.e. higher risk chemicals) in Victoria.

ACUPs do not authorise the holder to use these chemicals for a fee or reward (e.g. to operate as a spray contractor).

Who needs an ACUP?

A person who wishes to use most agricultural chemical products must hold a valid ACUP.

However, there are some alternative forms of authorisation that may apply to some people (see Alternative chemical use authorisations).

First time applicants must complete an accredited course in agricultural chemical use before applying for an ACUP. Different training is required to use different chemical products.People under the age of 18 can be issued a conditional ACUP, which does not allow the supply or use of Schedule 7 poisons.
